ATELIER HOUND JACKETS
Due to the circumstances of early 2020, with the global pandemic and harsh job market, myself (Blake Sewell-Howell) and Hudson Miller, owner of Hound Print Shop and fellow University of Oregon graduate, teamed up to create a very unique clothing capsule using French workwear jackets worn by bakers, carpenters, painters, etc. between the 1920’s and 1960’s. We acquired two dozen of these rare, vintage jackets, ranging in linens from herringbone to cotton, on wholesale from Golden Age LA, a French-inspired vintage store on La Brea Ave, Los Angeles. Hudson and I then collaborated on a modern, sci-fi design to print on these jackets. Upon finishing the designs, we had screens burned with our graphics and printed in-house onto the fronts and backs of these garments.
Now SOLD OUT.
BRAND DESIGN, ADVERTISING & MARKETING
MILKRUN REBRANDING - ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS CLASS SPRING 2020
During my final term at the University of Oregon, I took an Advertising Campaigns class and was placed in a team of six. We were assigned, along with around twenty other teams, to help rebrand a Portland-based, farm-to-home, online grocery delivery service called MilkRun. I was assigned, along with another teammate, to lead the design of the branding booklet, app concept, social media pages and brand seal.
FREELANCE LOGOS
Mad Mitch Speed Shop
In July, my long-time friend, Mitchell “Mad Mitch” Peters, came to me hoping I could create a logo for his new company, Mad Mitch Speed Shop. Mitch wanted me to do a somewhat modern take on classic, 60’s style racing designs. Therefore, I came up with the idea for a cracked skull with racing goggles, from that era, and checkered flags, along with a font package called “Drive.” Mitch now uses this as his official logo for his shop and is planning on launching a clothing line with this design.
MULTIMEDIA
Clay Eiberg Story
Clayton Eiberg is a sophomore at the University of Oregon and easily one of the most musically talented individuals I have ever encountered. Here is a minute long audio interview I had the pleasure of doing with the man himself!
